TWO BEE STINGS AND a blink of the eye

It all started in 2009 when I found my Great Granny Helen’s flaxseed lemonade recipe in a 1940s family cookbook—I was excited to give it a try.  In ten years, what started as a lemonade stand in my front yard in Austin quickly grew into a national brand with distribution on more than 1500 shelves throughout the United States.

As Me & the Bees Lemonade celebrates ten years of delivering premium, all-natural, purpose-driven lemonade to loyal fans across America, we look to a healthy future as I continue to dream big (like a kid!) and keep on “bee-lieving” I can make a difference in the world…making a difference by saving the littlest and biggest insects in our food supply…bees!

Where can I buy it you ask? At select Whole Foods Markets, Wegmans, Earth Fare, Fresh Market, Natural Grocers, World Market, Kroger (in Houston), H-E-Bs across Texas, various local retailers and restaurants, and online.

Our family-owned and operated company has grown by more than 500 percent from when it first began ten years ago! We are now ranked as the number one ready-to-drink lemonade growth brand. Now that’s sweet!

HEALTHY HIVE FOUNDATION

BUY A BOTTLE, SAVE A BEE!

Do you know that Me & the Bees Lemonade seeks to help educate consumers about the bees’ role in the ecosystem and the alarming decline in the bee population? It donates a percentage of net profits to the Healthy Hive Foundation, Mikaila’s non-profit organization dedicated to increasing honeybee awareness and promoting safe environments where bees can thrive through research, education and preservation. Bee the change by joining Mikaila in making a difference. Your donation helps Mikaila save the Bees.

WATCH MY VIDEOS

As you can imagine, I’ve had a lot going on over the last 10 years! Besides learning everything I can about bees and creating Healthy Hive Foundation, I appeared on Shark Tank where Daymond John committed to serve as a mentor and to invest $60,000 in my business, Good Morning America, Harry Connick Jr. and PIckler & Ben shows, formed a strategic partnership with Microsoft to save the bees, AND received angel funding from ten NFL football players that resulted in more than $1M in investments. All the while going to school, becoming fluent in Spanish, and learning to rock climb.
